GU1086 LOCATION – UPPER MORNE L’ENFER FORMATION

Kugler (1959) Surface geology map

A panoramic view, looking south, of a 3-foot thick channel. The base of the channel is very sharp, no rip up clasts, cross beds etc. are present. It overlies sticky, grey, structureless clay. This channel apparently plunges to the south, as on the Gu 1087 location on the other side of this hill all that is seen is alternating siltstones and claystones (water wet).
Close up of a small normal fault, with throw down to the west of about 2 ‘.

Schematic columnar section.
